Don’t miss the 9th annual Santa’s Hollyday Blitz right here in Stony Plain. This holiday event is the largest in Stony Plain and is held in support of the Kinsmen/Kinette Christmas hamper program in the Tri Muni Area. Santa’s Hollyday Blitz is taking place for one weekend only (November 28-29) at the Heritage Pavilion. There will be sleigh rides from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm daily, and as always, a whole host of vendors selling everything from fashion and jewellery to toys, games, and books. This year’s event is entirely free of charge and COVID-19 rules will be in effect, including mandatory face masks.
It’s Christmas market season, so don’t miss out on one of the most highly anticipated of the year: the Black Owned YEG Holiday Market. This pop-up style event will see tons of Black-owned businesses showcasing their products and services to the community. The market will take place at Habesha African Market in Edmonton on November 28 and is free to attend. This is a great opportunity to get your holiday shopping done early and support local artisans.
Just 25 minutes south of Stony Plain is where you will find the Christmas extravaganza known as Christmas in the Park. Taking place in Devon, Alberta on November 28, this annual event features the Merry & Bright 2020 Light Parade. Spectators can expect to marvel at ice sculpture floats and the Transflowmation Glow Dancers, as well as meet Santa Claus and the Grinch themselves! Christmas in the Park is free of charge and kicks off at 4:30 pm.
